The System consists of those people who are in place to work for the best interest of the Child. And when it relates to custody, the reasons to change custody have to be so overwhelming to consider or recommend a change. I always felt and still do feel that because life in the home of CEW is not the absolute worst on the planet, that the system believes there is no need to make a change. Rather the comparison or measure should be, is the home life of CEW the best available to the minor child. And in this case, the answer is a resounding No. The home life and best interest of the child criteria applies to a global benchmark instead of, is this specific Mom or this specific Dad's home life the best for the child.
It is this threshold or hurdle that I, the non-custodial parent must meet. I have met and dealt with two (2) Parent Coordinators, 1 Counselor, 1 mediator, and 4 judges. In addition, even my own attorney has ignored most of the issues I address on these pages. I have been told that with out the proverbial "smoking gun" my chances of making a change in custody are practically zero. And since a lot of the issues are Psychologically based, it's even more difficult to prove. And even when I do have a "smoking gun" issue, it's get's dismissed easliy by the CEW and THE SYSTEM. Needless to say I have a negative view of THE SYSTEM as it's known on these pages. Here are the key players.
CJ #1
This is Criminal Judge Number 1. He became an active participant due to two harassing telephone complaints that I filed, along with a trespassing charge resulting from CAEW's break in of my apartment. CJ # 1, above all others, seemed to be onto CAEW. Maybe because he deals with her types all day, but he act never played well with him and I always felt vindicated in his courtroom.
CJ # 2
Criminal Judge # 2 was brought into this saga as a result of CAEW filing discrimination charges against CJ # 1. Considering all of CAEW's charges were of the misdemeanor variety, I could hardly blame him for removing himself from the case, less ruin his career at the hands of some Whack Job. Unfortunately, CAEW's "whoa is me" act played well with CJ # 2.
